EditMentor is an interactive video editing training app that offers teachers a curriculum to follow and tracks student progress. In EditMentor, students solve creative editing “challenges” by manipulating our browser-based NLE. The system tells students if they edited the answer correctly, incorrectly, or partially correct and explains why. The system collects student scores in our teacher dashboard, providing valuable insight for teachers. Lessons include: Continuity editing, shot coverage, production terms, trimming, assembly editing, rough cutting, and more.
