GG4L takes the first step to innovate the way schools evaluate, procure and deploy SaaS solutions
Alameda, CA – November 14, 2023 – Today Global Grid for Learning (GG4L), the company that provides School Passport, a secure data exchange platform for educational organizations, announces the acquisition of EdCuration, the marketplace for K12 instructional materials.
Denver-based EdCuration has amassed nearly 1000 instructional solutions onto the marketplace where educators come to shop and connect to vendors to pursue a purchase. With the integration of EdCuration into the GG4L ecosystem, educators will soon be able to gain immediate teacher and student access to the EdTech product they decide to pilot or purchase. GG4L will be able to provide schools access to any EdTech product through School Passport. Schools will be able to provision their school roster data on-demand to any EdTech product in the marketplace, without the need to share student Personally Identifiable Information (PII).
Trusted by sellers of instructional materials to amplify their unique value proposition through the marketplace’s product pages and award-winning podcast “Where We Reshape Learning,” schools utilize EdCuration to determine which instructional materials should be considered when seeking new solutions.
“We had a vision to develop a digital B2E marketplace for several years,” said Robert Iskander, Chairman and CEO of GG4L, “And, we determined that EdCuration could help us provide educators with immediate access to the solutions needed through our School Passport secure on-demand provisioning.”
“EdCuration has been successful in helping educators identify new instructional resources to improve teaching and learning,” said EdCuration CEO Timeri Tolnay. “What we haven’t been able to do is provide schools with immediate access to the product when they purchase it, and GG4L will be able to do so.”
“We are looking forward to great things from GG4L and EdCuration as they come together to simplify the selection and procurement of EdTech solutions, and give educators immediate access to the teaching tools they require,” said Jim Newhouse, Assistant Director of Data Solutions in Texas’ Region 10 Educational Service Center.
EdCuration will continue to operate as a stand-alone marketplace, and will be integrated into GG4L’s School Passport ecosystem over time, benefitting from GG4L’s data exchange platform and data anonymization capabilities. As GG4L’s newly appointed Chief Marketing Officer, Timeri Tolnay will continue to lead EdCuration.
