School Passport® Navigator App is Free to all GG4L Member Schools,
their Students, Teachers and Parents
Alameda, CA – May 26, 2021 – Global Grid for Learning (GG4L) announced the immediate availability of School Passport® Navigator for students, teachers and parents at no cost to GG4L member schools and districts.
School Passport Navigator is an end-user facing mobile companion to School Passport 2.0, an Integration Platform as a Service Platform (iPaaS). It offers a convenient single sign-on (SSO) access to all of the school-licensed online resources in addition to a guided navigation through hundreds of thousands of Open Education Resources (OER) for math, science and ELA. GG4L will invite third-party EdTech vendors to correlate their school-licensed digital content resources into School Passport Navigator’s AI-driven online content recommendation tool.
GG4L has partnered with Gooru to white-label Navigator applications for its districts. Gooru Navigator accurately locates the learner’s knowledge, skills, and mindsets and then constructs a personalized path to reach their learning goals. In each step of the way, Navigator provides GPS-like guidance to learners to online education resources. For teachers and parents, Navigator automatically assesses each learner in each of their core subjects on a daily basis and generates insightful individualized reports about their strengths and weaknesses in each subject.
GG4L member schools’ end-users securely log into School Passport Navigator, managed by their own school IT administrators, to access all of their school-licensed applications that are setup through the School Passport AppStore. End-Users are able to download a native mobile app, for either iOS or Android smartphone devices, or install a browser add-in to support desktop devices such as Chromebooks. With improved student data privacy and online safety in mind, Navigator is provisioned through School Passport Connect with PII-Shield activated which will help school districts maintain strict data privacy compliance.
“I am excited to bring to the school districts the ability to use their existing tools and data to achieve learning equity and excellence,” said Dr. Prasad Ram, Founder of Gooru. “Gooru Navigator aggregates all available data for the district with district-ownership of the data, uses this to compute the proficiency of gaps for every learner for every competency across grades two to high school in math and middle school science and ELA, and then suggests personalized pathways using open resources to fill the gaps. All stakeholders in the school can precisely understand the gaps of their learners in real-time and coordinate their support to accelerate outcomes.”
“This is a game changer for schools with learning loss, particularly as they resume normal schedules after the recent pandemic disruption,” said Robert Iskander, GG4L Founder and CEO. “Schools need to be able to quickly and continuously assess students, especially in math, to accurately recover from learning loss, and this is exactly what Navigator is able to do. We are excited to be able to deploy this technology to more than 20,000 US schools starting this summer.”
School Passport Navigator is available for download in the app store of your mobile device. To integrate your school and obtain a free license, reach out to info@gg4l.com today.
