School Passport 2.0’s API Offers EdTech Vendors a Pre-Built EdTech Ecosystem
Alameda, CA – March 9, 2021 –Global Grid for Learning (GG4L), a Public Benefit Corporation, announced School Passport 2.0 API (SP2-API), the first of its kind partner-branded Pre-Built EdTech Ecosystem now available to vendors. Early-stage EdTech start-ups and regional EdTech solution providers are now able to compete with their global and larger competitors by offering an integrated, safe and secure EdTech ecosystem to their customers without the need to invest millions of dollars in technical and business development resources.
The newly announced School Passport 2.0 offers schools and colleges a trusted School AppStore. It enables them to centralize the vetting and licensing of their approved EdTech Apps in their school-branded app stores while delegating the on-demand activation to teachers and site administrators. This now allows enterprise solution vendors, communication providers and school engagement portals to leverage SP2-API as a pre-built school-centric ecosystem that could be accessible from within their own portals to provide a unified end-user experience.
SP2-API’s early adopters include several EdTech companies such as Actionaly, Alexandria Library Software, Gabbart Communications, LumenTouch, Vedamo and ZippSlip.
“School Passport 2.0’s API levels the playing field for EdTech companies,” commented Robert Iskander, CEO and Founder of GG4L. “We now offer a fully-integrated, open-standards compliant product that allows vendors to offer more value to their customers, improve student engagement and increase retention rates, all while saving time and money.”
GG4L’s EdTech ecosystem includes hundreds of companies listed in its Catalyst Catalog. GG4L’s membership base is growing rapidly and includes several strategic global companies such as Amplify, Apex Learning, AWS, Coursera, CrisisGo, Desire2Learn, Faria Education, FinalSite, Google, IBM Cloud, Instructure, IMS Global Consortium, IXL Education, Lightspeed Systems, and Zoom, to name a few.
GG4L’s member vendors pay a fixed modest annual fee to take advantage of GG4L’s unlimited customer on-boarding services, safe single sign-on federation, open standards compliance, and white-label solutions. With a growing installed customer base of more than 18,000 schools, GG4L is able to provide EdTech vendors unprecedented value.
